I'm continuing my Thrifty Thursday accountability series on what I have done to save money this week or ways I have made extra money this week.

Saving on Things I have Bought

  • Needed some pet supplies, so I noticed Chewy.com had a free $30 gift card offer with $100 purchase on some items. What I needed was included! I also went through Rakuten for 1% cash back and used my AMEX card for another 1% cash back. 
  • Used a $5 off $50 purchase coupon at the grocery store to purchase groceries this week. My AMEX card offers 6% cash back at grocery stores, so I earned some cash back as well. 

Avoiding Spending

  • I have been bringing leftovers from home to work for lunch every day. 
  • We have also been eating out of the freezer to save on going to the grocery store. 

Earning Money

  • Scanned all my receipts into Fetch 
  • I sold 4 items on eBay in August this month; I'm cleaning out my closet and earning a little money at the same time. 

Eating What we Have On Hand

  • I am out of ground beef in the freezer, but I have a brisket and some stew meat that we have not used. I am using my KitchenAid meat grinder to grind that into hamburger. 
  • I have a partial bag of frozen cranberries in the freezer that will be used to make Keto Cranberry Bars for dessert this week.

  Happy Friday Friends! I've done absolutely terrible at life photos lately, but I'd thought I'd share a few things I'm loving in my life right now.  #1 Baccarat Rogue Room Spray I bought this room spray for my office and it's a pretty dead ringer for this high end luxury perfume. It makes my glum office feel a little more luxe. Two sprays is all it takes and it smells good for hours. They also have a candle. I got it awhile back and they've since had to remove the word Baccarat, but this is the same product just new packaging.  #2 Spotify Playlist Also office related, but this is also a favorite in home playlist of mine. The Spanish Guitar Instrumentals is just great background music. No words, but relaxing guitar. Makes me feel like I'm a fancy resort on the shores of the Caribbean. Friday Favorites - September 12

Happy Friday Friends! It has been awhile since I've updated, but I have a few things to share.  #1 Fishing in Canada      We had a whirlwind adventure to Minnesota then to Canada! We were invited by friends living in Minnesota to join their fishing trip to Savant Lake in Ontario. We flew into MSP, spent a few days hanging out at our friend's ranch in Buffalo, MN, then we caravanned up to Savant Lake. We stayed at Cliff & Roma's Wilderness Camp. Most people go in via float plane, but we had 12 peoples so we opted to take the trail in. It's about 5 miles to get back to the camp and lake. We had two four wheelers, a CanAm and a trailer. It took about 90 minutes to get all the way back to the camp, but once we got there it was a view! The cabins are all set right on the shores of Savant Lake and the camp is ran by the best people. We fished for walleye and pike and ate our fill! We even brought some HEB tortillas to make fish tacos. Warmed those right up on the wood ...

Friday Favorites - July 25

Happy Friday Friends! I'm so looking forward to the weekend; I have some shopping plans and we're hosting some of my husband's college friends for the weekend. We have some yummy drinks and foods planned for the weekend.  #1 Birthdays & Spa Days We celebrated my friend's 40th birthday! We had a party for her to celebrate on Sunday then Monday we went to the Lake Austin Spa. Voted by Conde Nast as the #1 spa destination in the US. It didn't disappoint! We had massages and facials and spent time lounging by the pool.  #2 Desserts Some of y'all know I have a more professional blog. I added a new recipe over there for The Best Vanilla Whoopie Pies with Buttercream Filling ! So yummy!
